Der Nominativ
The Nominativ-case means the subject or the one which/who does an action. It replies to the question wer? which means who?. All the nouns that are after the verb ''sein'' ''to be'' are also in the Nominativ.
Examples:
*Wer kommt? - Der Mann kommt.
- Who comes? -The man comes.
*Das ist ein Mann.
- This is a man.

Note: In
German there are only two indefinite articles!
‘’ein’’ for masculine and neutral and ‘’eine’’ for
feminine. Plural doesn’t have any indefinite article.
