Present of the regular verbs

We may build the present tense with the stem of the verb plus the following endings: e, st, t, en, t, en.
Example: machen (to do)
Its stem is: mach
ich
mache
du
machst
er, sie, es
macht
wir
machen
ihr
macht
sie
machen
Sie (polite form)
machen

The regular verbs, of which the stem ends in: -d or –t, will take an (e) between the stem and the ending of the pronouns (du, er/sie/es and ihr)

Let’s take an example to make it clearer:

bilden (to build)
arbeiten (to work)
ich bilde
du bildest
er, sie, es bildet
wir  bilden
ihr bildet
sie bilden
Sie (polite form) bilden
ich arbeite
du arbeitest
er, sie, es arbeitet
wir arbeiten
ihr arbeitet
sie arbeiten
Sie (polite form) arbeiten

Dear grandpa,
I am finally writing to you! I'm lying by the lake right now. You know I'm at summer camp. I have a lot of fun with my friends. We play soccer, listen to a lot of music and dance. Unfortunately tomorrow is the final party: Our group cooks together. I buy everything in the supermarket. Christina makes live music because she plays the guitar well. Esra and Liana photographed everything. Our supervisor, Ms. Moser, will certainly count the empty bottles again at the party and then say: “You drink too much Coke!” And what are you doing, Grandpa? Do you walk your dog every day?
